Tini Tiny

Yesterday two of my friends were sporting tiny rings on their fingers which I've been craving for some time now.  I had searched for them before but they tend to be expensive  So today I woke up & just made my own.  I took scrap from an old broken hoop earring and bent it enough for it to stay in place.    My pinky finger is thanking me.  I'm in love.

DIY @ Femmegems

I spent my Monday night drinking some wine, nibbling on cheese and making beautiful necklaces at Femmegems.  I never would have known that a random building in Midtown would have such a unique and fun space.  Femmegems is a boutique studio where you make your own jewelry.  The walls are filled with amazing stones and beads so you can make practically anything. Rocker, glam, bohemian, dainty, preppy, you choose.  I really wanted a statement piece so I went the Bohemian route.  Highly recommend this place for a girl's night, birthday party and bachelorette (a very PG-13 one).

Bitter Warm

Yesterday and today have been absolutely freezing. To the point that today I nave not stepped foot outside. Instead, I've chosen to stay warm and toasty inside. Spring has been contradicting itself lately in New York and I'm not liking it.
To be productive, I kept working on some of my pieces. One of them is a necklace for pure leisure and the nicer one is for a dress I am wearing to a wedding in Miami. I leave next Thursday so sunshine, palm trees, cuban food and 80 degrees will be welcoming me with open arms in just a few days. Can't wait.

Ring necklace with dangling amber colored gem. Thinking of a finishing it up with a black leather cord instead of a golden chain. Not sure yet.

Pastel-colored gem and chain choker for a green crayola dress that I am wearing to the wedding.

Spring Awakening

Happy first day of Spring! We got a hit of warm weather this Friday but yesterday and today have been cold and windy. Why o why!?! Such a tease.
Anyways, for now, I'll focus on the positive and that is: sun, 60 degrees, skirts and pastel colors.
