I can't get enough of English duo La Roux these days. I love the 80's synthpop revival they have going on. Their album is up-beat and will get you off a a seat and onto a dance floor.
The lead singer, Elly Jackson, has such an androgynous look which is very contradictory to her high-pitched feminine voice. I'm assuming the name La Roux must have been influenced by her killer fiery red coif.
They have a show at Webster Hall on 2/11 and I'm hoping to buy tickets soon. It still hasn't sold out but knowing how New York is, it probably will.
