Is it me or did NYC just get really cold? Like, bone-breaking, hair-raising, lip-chapping cold? It felt that it took a while for fall to come and now it is definitely here (but just for a few more weeks, of course). About two weeks back, knowing that this was possibly happening, my friends and I rented a Fiat and headed North, to
Watkins Glen State Park. The gorge was beautiful and I was able to breathe in fresh air and see foliage in it's full glory. The trees were red, orange, yellow and occasionally green.
On our way back, we stopped at an apple orchard to pick some goodies. This was my first time ever picking apples, and let's just say, it is not my jam. But it was fun, regardless. Especially since I got to sit on a swing. I mean, when was the last time you did that?!
It is amazing what a weekend outside this city can do to rejuvenate the self. It was a chill weekend, with good friends and a beautiful scenery.
