I'm trying(unsuccessfully) to get tickets to the sold out The Drums show at Bowery Ballroom on 1/13. I really really want to see them live!
The Florida/Brooklyn band has a post-punk, 50's surf-pop action going on that is purely contagious. They sing lyrics such as "Oh mama, I wanna go surfing" and the lead singer puts on a fake british accent from time to time. Cheesy? Yes, BUT I LOVE IT! And I promise, you will love it too.
Bottom line, their catchy love songs and danceable beats are sure to make them the IT band of summer 2010.
