#OOOLook Inspo: Midi and Co.

Models may have the "Model Off Duty" look but the every day girl has the #OOOLook. It is what she wears when she wants to dress up (or down) and is off doing her thing.

I love how The Day Book paired her midi with a white button down.  She looks like a modern 50s housewife.  My take would be a bit more edgy.

Fantasy/Reality: Bow Trimmed Hat

The other day I was wandering through Union Square and went into F21 to browse.  I'm not much of an impulse buyer but when I saw this blue hat I just had to have it.  Lucky me, it was pretty cheap.  The one I actually bought has a wider brim than the one below.  In a perfect world I would do a high/low mix with a gorgeous Celine bag in tote.  For now, I'll just have to settle for a gorgeous Zara bag.

Fall 2012 Sneak Peak

Last Saturday morning was noticeably cool and it made me realize that, like it or not, fall will be here soon enough.  I HATE cold weather but I do love fall style.  Here are some of my favorite, budget friendly pieces by Piperlime, in the color palette of Fall 2012.  I'm glad the color obsession will not die down.  It will definitely make fall more bearable for me.

Vintage Treasures from Mama

Back in June, when I went home to visit my family, my mom had some vintage hand me downs she had kept from when she was young(er).  She gave me three skinny snakeskin belts and some crazy 80's earring that can break my ear off. HEAVY!  

My mom was so breathtaking beautiful and had the best style.  I look at her pictures and always complain that she should have kept her 60's mod and 70's disco outfits that I still salivate over.

Huge and clip-ons.  What the heck am I going to do with these?? I'm thinking of adding one to a long gold chain and making it a statement piece.

LOVE!  And like new too.
