So on this post, I introduced you to my makeup artist friend who is freakishly talented. For Halloween, she has graced her Instagram followers with 31 days of makeup ideas, created by her and modeled by her (yep, she is also beautiful, go figure). Here are the new ones she has posted so that you can get more awesome makeup ideas for Halloween. My favorite is the drag queen. HOW FUN IS THAT?!
For year-round makeup tips and inspiration, follow her on Instagram, at ingrid_makeup.

How To...(Get The Fall Skirt Right)
Fall is the last push you can make to wear a skirt for as long as possible since, come December, it is nearly impossible to keep those toes frost-bite free if exposed. If these stylish chicks could talk they would tell you that, with a few tricks, you can rock the skirt for a bit longer than you think.
- Keep the length of your skirt long to expose as little as possible. Like, duh.
- Regardless the shoes, always cover those toes.
- There's nothing wrong with rocking some nice heels with cozy socks. When done right, it can look so chic.
- Yes, you can wear knee-high boots without looking like a lady of the night. Just cover up on the top.
- Keep it warm and cozy with a cool oversize sweater. Listen to your grandma and make sure you cover that chest to not get sick (urban legend).

The Summer Trends I'll Be Wearing #5: Crop Top
Well, this one is pretty obvious. The crop top, in particular this one from Nasty Gal, is the go-to summer top. Summer is the reason why crop tops were invented in the first place. Duh.

The Summer Trends I'll Be Wearing #4: The One-Piece
I still don't know how I feel about this trend, but I'm giving it a try this summer. I mean, if I don't try it now, when will I? I always thought that one-piece bathing suits were for either elementary school field trips or moms. Fast-forward to 2014 and now every girl, in all shapes and sizes, is basking in the trend.
I think Nasty Gal has done an amazing job at featuring one-piece suits that are very cool. Some look like there were taken straight off the Pretty Woman set (in that case, wear at your own discretion) but others, like this red one, are so doable.
The one I'm featuring below is from Billabong because I am loving the rainbow of colors. It is somewhat conservative yet sexy.

The Summer Trends I'll Be Wearing #3: Tropical Print
Tropical Print epitomizes summer. Luckily for us, brands like ZARA have found a way to not make us look like a middle-aged man at Disney World. I'm seen a few cute tops but this one is by far my favorite. It is slightly a crop top, sporty chic and the print is subtle. And at $39.99, the price is unbeatable.

The Summer Trends I'll Be Wearing #2: Low Top Sneakers
Sticking with comfortable, my second summer essential are sneakers, preferably Superga. Sure, Converse are always in but Supergas are a great everyday sneaker too. They are not bulky and come in the coolest colors. The black and white ones are my favorite. Those Italians always get it right.

The Summer Trends I'll be Wearing #1: Boyfriend Shorts
This weekend was the first that felt like summer. It was hot, the sun was shining, and the days consisted of food festivals and a relaxing beach outing. With summer comes my summer wardrobe, which is my favorite of all seasons since I LOVE hot weather. Hot weather makes me happy because the less clothes I have to wear, the better.
So, this week I leave you with the top five summer trends I'll be wearing. The essentials. Comfortable and casual is all I am looking for.
Ignore the skinny legs, boyfriend shorts its where it's at. They can be dressed up or down so they will become your default for the weekends, day at the beach, brunch, etc.

#OOOLook Inspo: Pineapple Chic
I wanted my first day (of a few) in Puerto Rico to be packed with sun. But instead, I am inside my childhood home, eating a big bowl of sliced banana and pineapple. Regardless of the rain, I am content. Who doesn't love pineapple?!
Apparently fashion seems to agree with me, as I saw an insurgence of pineapple prints last month on everything from underwear to fashion editors. By far the best use of the fruit was the outfit on this cool chick I found on Pinterest. She proved that strips, chunky chains and pineapples worked. A refreshing look that is bold and sweet, just like the fruit I am eating.

Blazer / Topshop jeans / Miss Selfridge lucite heel shoes / Reece Hudson crossbody purse / Forever 21 chain necklace
The look I recreated is pretty on point, and the main pieces (chain, blazer and pants) come out to under $150.
Happy out of office! Enjoy the weekend.

#OOOLook Inspo: Jamie Chung
I'm in the process of clearing out my closet and buying a whole new wardrobe for work. For years, I've been using mostly clothes that were given to me through presents and just clothes that I don't necessarily love but think they would do. For the longest time, I've focused on buying clothes suited for going out but not necessarily "work appropriate". But age, it creeps up on you. You realize how important it is to look great at work.
When I saw this look on Jamie Chung, I thought it was perfection. Very casual yet completely stylish, perfect for casual fridays. I am definitely adding a red blazer to my wardrobe revival.

#OOOLook Inspo: Midi and Co.
Models may have the "Model Off Duty" look but the every day girl has the #OOOLook. It is what she wears when she wants to dress up (or down) and is off doing her thing.
I love how The Day Book paired her midi with a white button down. She looks like a modern 50s housewife. My take would be a bit more edgy.

Quick Bite: Sally Torres Vega
How absolutely adorable are these garments. They look so comfortable. Modern yet timeless (is that an oxymoron?)
I love discovering new designers, especially from my gorgeous Puerto Rico. You can check out her website here.

Brunch Hangover
Loving these snapshots I took of my friend, Larsen, after brunch at DeSantos. She looks really serious but we were cracking up taking these photos.

Officially Boot Season
That means I officially have three months to enjoy cold weather before it turns brutal. I am an island girl. Anything below 40 is not my jam...

In Honor of NYFW: Fashion Illustrations from Westminster
While looking at Pinterest, I clicked on a NYFW hashtag (there are hashtags on Pinterest?) which led me to this absolutely breathtaking board put together by the University of Westminster. The board featured illustrations from their students depicting the season's runway looks as well as their own designs. I don't know about you but I want to be able to buy these and put them around my house. I mean, the illustrations are simply breathtaking. What talent!
Check out the entire board here and additional illustrations from the artist that oversees the course, Richard Gray.
